Dating air force guy

You’ve read my posts about for an army girlfriend, navy girlfriend, or military girlfriend.

Make a different choice or find a way to become more independent.

2) If you do not want to spend prom, birthdays, wedding anniversaries, babies births and holidays without your significant other or future spouse do not date someone in the military.

Editor’s Note: This article originally appeared at Cellar Door, the personal blog of Gabrielle Puglia. You need to understand that the military is a brotherhood.

There have been a few articles about the pros and cons of dating the Generation Y military man, and while some of them are better reads than others, I felt the need to weigh in. Military men may never have closer relationships than those they made in the military.

3) If you are someone who needs to live close to your family, do not date or marry someone in the military. Do not anticipate that you will get them to leave it and do something else.

You will move a lot, potentially in far flung places around the world. 5) If you have a very defined career path that requires a specific location & number of years spent in one place a military partnership will make that very difficult. If you want a big career that demands you live in a particular area, or long years in one place, don't date people in the service.

But military life (and military relationships) seem to move just a little faster and need more planning than others. You will put up with deployment, weird shifts, emergencies, trainings, and a whole bunch of other stuff that will happen at inopportune times and will be the least helpful thing.

If you’re teetering on the edge of this particular path, think through the lifestyle before you jump in:(And don’t date him/her if you believe that “everyone cheats” during deployment.) Period. (So do people in the civilian world.) But that doesn’t mean everyone does, that we all agree with it, or that it’s even the “norm.” You will be separated from the person you love at some point during their career in the military. It’s okay to get frustrated, be angry, and cry, but you’ve got to pick yourself up and move on.

6) If you have a lot of anxiety and worry a lot, being a military spouse may not be something you are built for.

Your choices are find every way possible to strengthen yourself and survive or choose a less stressful life for yourself.

The fact that you are in 2 minds itself makes you undeserving for a soldier.
