Vtp not updating vlans
A switch is configured to be in only one VTP domain. You make global VLAN configuration changes for the domain by using the Cisco IOS command-line interface (CLI), Cisco Visual Switch Manager Software, or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
Switch 1 and Switch 2 will continue to exchange VTP messages between each other .
With VTP pruning enabled, the server won’t be able to communicate with the rest of the network.
The default VTP mode is server mode, but VLANs are not propagated over the network until a management domain name is specified or learned.
If the switch receives a VTP advertisement over a trunk link, it inherits the management domain name and configuration revision number.
We’ll also cover VLAN/switch troubleshooting techniques. Later, in part two I’ll look further into a “No connectivity” issue.
One of the things to keep in mind is that there are some things that can just generally happen on a switch.
VTP minimizes misconfigurations and configuration inconsistencies that can cause several problems, such as duplicate VLAN names, incorrect VLAN-type specifications, and security violations.
A VTP domain (also called a VLAN management domain) is one switch or several interconnected switches sharing the same VTP domain.
The invention of VLANs was very much welcomed by all engineers and administrators, allowing them to extend, redesign and segment their existing network with minimal costs, while at the same time making it more secure, faster and reliable!Tags: Adult Dating, affair dating, sex dating
